What is Klarna: Pay now?
With Klarna: Pay now, customers can pay for one-off transactions securely and immediately using their own online banking details through bank transfers or direct debit orders. Is more information required to complete the transaction? Then Klarna automatically asks for it. Ideal for quick purchases.
How does Klarna: Pay now work?
- At checkout, the customer selects ‘Klarna: Pay now’ as their payment method
- The customer is redirected to the Klarna hosted payment page and chooses the preferred payment method
- For bank transfers, customers enter their sort code/bank code. They enter a username and password to log in to their bank account. They then enter a transaction authentication number (TAN) or equivalent depending on the country and their bank. Payment is authorised in real-time, the shopper should return on the merchant supplied redirectUrl
- For direct debits, existing Klarna customers enter account credentials and new customers will have to create a Klarna account to confirm the payment by providing their IBAN
Klarna remembers your customer data to increase ease of use. The first time you use Klarna: Pay Now, you will need to enter personal information for verification. From now on you can pay with one click. In short, an ideal payment method for quick purchases.
