Most of the games we offer are board games (family games). A board game is a game played for fun, to be with friends and family while passing time. Often these are board games like Monopoly, but also some shuffleboard and card games are considered family games. Because a board game is all about ambiance and the right atmosphere, is not played for a prize or bet.
During the rise of the computer area games were put aside and seldom used. Even the classic board games were released in a digital form. We at Retro & Design still it is often more fun to sit and play with a board game together at the table. However, can you handle losing? Otherwise, solving a Jigsaw puzzle is perhaps more your thing ...
At Retro & Design we have various jigsaw puzzles and board games in the category toys and games.. We focus on toys and games from around the 60s and 70s. Maybe you also played with some of them in your childhood or past and do they remind you of the good old days... Maybe those old fashioned games bring back pleasant memories... Various different games can be found here such as. Mikado, Scrabble... and how about ‘Pim Pam Pet’, Halma or Parcheesi. The puzzles of the 60s and 70s are still fun to make: Super Mouse, ‘Donald Duck’... do you still remember 'Deputy Dawg'?

‘Stratego’: You are the commander of your own army. You monitor your own flag and try to conquer it from your opponent.
‘Domino’ is a game played with special domino stones. Domino is very popular in the Caribean and in Latin America, but among the youth domino loses popularity.
‘Goose’ is a classic board game. It consists of a game board, a die and some pawns of different colors, often in the form of a geese. The aim of the game is to bring a pawn (geese) from the beginning to the end of the playing fields in as few moves as possible. Each player must move his pawn as many spaces as the numbers thrown with the dice.
‘Halma’ is a board game which can be played by 2-6 participants in a square or hexagonal playfield. The variant with a hexagonal playfield is often called Chinese checkers or star Halma. The object of the game is to remove all pawns in your area as soon as possible and get them to the other side of the board.
‘Mastermind’ is a classic game in logical thinking. One player tries to unravel the secret code of the other player.
‘Memory’ is a game that appeals to the short term memory of the players.
Parcheesi! is a board game for two to six players. The origins of the game lies in India. A simplified version of the traditional Indian game Pachisi was released in 1896 under the name Ludo in Britain. "Mens-erger-je-niet" is the name of this game in the Netherlands and Belgium (Flanders). The rules are slightly different from Ludo.
‘Monopoly’ is one of the best-selling board games in the world. It is available in 26 languages. Since 1935, over 200 million copies have been sold. Special editions appear regularly.
