About Lonka:
Lonka, an abbreviation of London Caramel Works, began its journey in 1920 with the opening of its first factory in Breda, Netherlands. A decade later, a second facility was established in Essen, Belgium. In 1930, the name was officially changed to London Caramel and Toffee Works Limited (Lonca), which was later shortened to Lonka. By 1965, the Breda facility closed, and production moved entirely to Essen, focusing on caramel, toffee, and hard candies.
