About DRU
DRU is one of the oldest industrial companies in the Netherlands, founded in 1754 in Ulft. The company boasts a rich history dating back to the early years of the Industrial Revolution. In 1774, the Diepenbrock and Reigers families from Bocholt joined the company, bringing their expertise in iron casting and driving its expansion. They eventually became the sole owners of the Ulft ironworks in 1831, leading to the creation of the DRU name, derived from Diepenbrock and Reigers te Ulft.
