This nostalgic, oval red tin from Lonka is designed for storing soft caramel. The tin has a loose-fitting lid, making it practical for repeated use and ensuring a good seal. On the lid and the front of the tin, there is a charming image of a red-haired girl with a blue bow in her ponytail. The style of the image is strongly reminiscent of the 1950s, giving the tin a true retro look.

Condition:

Background Information:
Lonka, originally standing for London Caramel Works, started in 1920 in Breda. After ten years, production expanded to a second factory in Essen, Belgium. In 1930, the name was officially registered as London Caramel and Toffee Works Limited (Lonca), but later changed to Lonka. After the closure of the Breda factory in 1965, production continued in Essen, focusing on caramel, toffee, and confectionery. This tin is a fine example of the nostalgic appeal that Lonka as a brand still carries.

This retro tin is not only a functional storage item but also a decorative piece that adds a touch of history and character to any kitchen or collection.
