Vintage Cylindrical Coffee Storage Tin with Floral Decoration

  • Manufacturer: Verblifa
  • Manufacture Date: 1960s

Product Description:
This vintage cylindrical tin storage container, designed for coffee, dates back to the 1960s. The tin features a cream-white base, adorned with a floral design of nasturtiums, displayed in vibrant red and green tones. The decoration is present on both the front of the tin and the lid. The lid has a rolled edge for a secure seal, and the bottom of the tin also features a rolled edge. A seamed joint is visible at the back of the tin.

The word "KOFFIE" is prominently displayed in bold orange/red block letters, clearly indicating the tin's purpose for storing coffee.

Condition:
The tin is in original vintage condition, showing normal signs of use and age-related wear. These are visible in the accompanying photos, which are part of the description.

Dimensions:

  • Height: 18 cm
  • Diameter: 11 cm

Nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus):
The floral design on the tin represents the nasturtium, an annual plant from the Tropaeolaceae family. This plant is known for its creeping and sometimes climbing growth, with shield-like, grey-green leaves. The botanical name Tropaeolum comes from the Latin word "tropaeum," meaning a tree adorned with weapons, symbolizing victory.

This storage tin combines aesthetic charm with functional usability, making it an interesting piece for collectors and vintage kitchenware enthusiasts.
