This collection features four meticulously designed tea tins from Douwe Egberts, specifically for Pickwick Tea. Each tin represents a piece of history, with unique aesthetics and details that reflect the heritage of the brand.

Description of the Tins:

1. Red Tea Tin:
   This tin has a scalloped square shape with angled corners and a round lid. The lid displays an image of a Chinese man and woman, emphasizing the exotic origins of tea. The tin is designed to hold 50 grams of Pickwick tea.
    
2. Green Tea Tin with Carriage Illustration:
   Also scalloped and square with angled corners, but features a different illustration on the lid: a carriage pulled by two horses. This design evokes a sense of English tradition, fitting for the English-inspired Pickwick tea. This tin also has a capacity of 50 grams.
    
3. Yellow Tea Tin with Exotic Image:
   This yellow tin follows the same shape and style as the others but stands out with an exotic image that underscores the global influence of tea. Capacity: 50 grams.
    
4. Green Tea Tin with Marble Decor:
   This tin from 1987 features a green marbled background and is adorned with gold-coloured ornaments. The lid showcases two images of a horse-drawn carriage, reminiscent of the English influence on Pickwick. This tin has a slightly larger capacity of 80 grams and can hold 20 tea bags of 4 grams each.

Condition:
This set is in good vintage condition. There are normal signs of use and some age-related wear visible. The lids may sometimes be tight, a characteristic of their age.

Dimensions:
The tins are compact, each with a height of 11 cm, and a length and width of 10 cm.

Douwe Egberts and Pickwick:
Douwe Egberts began in 1753 as a modest grocery store in Joure, founded by Egbert Douwes and his wife Akke Thijsses. What started with coffee, tea, and tobacco grew into an iconic brand. Pickwick Tea was introduced in 1937. The name Pickwick was inspired by the then-director's wife's love for the works of Charles Dickens, nodding to the English origins of tea.

This series of tea tins is not only a collector's item but also a piece of history from one of the most beloved tea brands in the Netherlands.
