Lonka, originally derived from "London Caramel Works," has a rich history dating back to 1920 when the first factory was opened in Breda. Over the years, the company expanded with a location in Essen, Belgium. The name Lonka emerged after French-speaking Belgians pronounced the original name "Lonca" differently. By 1965, production was fully concentrated in Belgium, focusing primarily on caramel, toffee, and hard candy.
This tin is not only a beautiful piece of 1950s heritage but also a symbol of Lonka’s tradition and craftsmanship. For collectors and enthusiasts of vintage items, this tin offers a unique glimpse into the history of an iconic candy brand.
