Product Description:
This tin biscuit box was made to commemorate the engagement of Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard in 1936. The box, with an orange finish, has a diameter of 11 cm and a height of 17.5 cm. The design includes a removable lid, on which both family crests are depicted. The front of the box features a black-and-white portrait of Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard, adorned with a golden crown and the initials "J.B." at the bottom. The back shows the family crests of both Princess Juliana and Prince Bernhard.

The edge of the lid and the border of the portrait are decorated with a garland of greenery and orange apples, adding a subtle, elegant touch to the overall design.

Condition:

Juliana of the Netherlands:
Juliana Louise Emma Marie Wilhelmina, Princess of the Netherlands and Princess of Orange-Nassau was Queen of the Netherlands from 1948 to 1980. She married Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld and had four daughters. Juliana was the only child of Queen Wilhelmina and Prince Hendrik of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld:
Born Bernhard Friedrich Eberhard Leopold Julius Kurt Carl Gottfried Peter Graf von Biesterfeld, he was the prince consort of Queen Juliana from 1937 to 2004. His long marriage and role within the Dutch royal family make him a prominent figure in Dutch history.


This tin biscuit box is not only a unique collectable but also a historical memento of an important moment in the Dutch royal family.
