Product Description:
This vintage tin, produced by Cacao & Chocolat Kwatta S.A. between 1960 and 1969, is a beautiful example of nostalgic packaging art from the 1960s. The rectangular, flat tin has a hinged lid and features the iconic Kwatta logo on the bottom. The sides are decorated with a dark brown background and light brown details, giving it a classic appearance. The inside of the tin is gold-coloured, adding an elegant touch.

The multicoloured lid features a detailed image of a coach or diligence drawn by three horses in a rural setting. The image depicts a rich scene: a coachman with a passenger, a passenger trying to board at the last moment being helped by other passengers, while a dog chases them. Additionally, there are some people waving goodbye and geese in a meadow observing the scene. These details give the tin a unique charm that is rare in contemporary packaging.

About Kwatta:
Kwatta is a renowned brand, originally from the Netherlands, best known for its chocolate products. The brand was founded in 1883 by the Belgian chocolatier Charles Kwatta. In the 1950s and 1960s, Kwatta enjoyed great popularity in the Netherlands and Belgium, with products such as chocolate letters and chocolate bars.

One of Kwatta's most iconic products was the chocolate bar that was part of military rations, beloved by many Dutch soldiers during their service. Kwatta chocolate was known for its excellent taste and was a favourite among both young and old.

Conclusion:
This vintage Kwatta tin is not only a beautiful piece for collectors but also a nostalgic reminder of the glory days of chocolate production in the 1960s. The detailed image on the lid and the stylish finish make it a valuable addition to any collection of vintage packaging or chocolate-related memorabilia.
