This vintage tin is an authentic piece from the history of the biscuit industry, originally used as packaging for De Beukelaer cookies. The tin features a hinged lid and is adorned with an image of the portrait of Charles William Lambton, painted by the renowned artist Sir Thomas Lawrence in 1825. The sides and the rim of the lid are gold-coloured and include embossed details. The underside of the tin bears the brand name "De Beukelaer" and has four half-round ball feet stamped into the tin. The front of the tin features a keyhole, though the lock and key are no longer present.
