Description:
This beautiful vintage tin box from the renowned cookie and chocolate company Victoria, founded in Belgium in 1896, is a unique piece that exudes the allure of a bygone era. At its peak, Victoria owned factories in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, and was known for its high-quality chocolates and cookies. This particular box, manufactured in the mid-20th century, was a popular packaging choice for their luxurious treats.

Features:
The box is shaped like a pentagon with a rounded, hinged lid. The base is a deep red colour, adorned with gold-coloured relief decorations reminiscent of decorative hardware. These beautiful embellishments are embossed, adding an extra dimension and a sense of luxury. On the side of the box, there is a diamond-shaped emblem, a distinctive detail that emphasizes Victoria's heritage. The box is designed to be closed with a padlock, although this lock is not included.

Condition:
Despite its age, the box is in excellent vintage condition. The red colour has been well-preserved, and while there are signs of use and age-related wear, this adds to the charm and authenticity of the piece. The semi-circular feet, expressed in the tin, give the box a stable base and an elegant appearance.

  • Height: 15.5 cm
  • Length: 26 cm
  • Width: 22 cm

This vintage tin box isn't only a beautiful decorative addition to your interior but also functional. It is ideal for storing jewellery, and precious memories, or as a stylish storage solution for other personal belongings.

Conclusion:
This Victoria vintage tin box is more than a storage solution; it is a piece of history that reflects the elegance and quality of the past. An ideal collectible for enthusiasts of antique and vintage items, and a wonderful addition to any interior.

The Cookie and Chocolate Factory Victoria, founded in 1896 in Koekelberg, Belgium, began as an industrial biscuit factory by three Brussels pastry chefs. The factory quickly expanded with a second location in Dordrecht, the Netherlands, and started chocolate production in 1908. During the World Expo of 1958, the company reached its peak, but afterwards, a gradual decline followed. The factories ultimately closed in 1970, and the Victoria brand name was discontinued in 1978.
