This biscuit tin was manufactured by Fa. van der Meulen & Zn Hallum in the 1960s. The tin is adorned with a hand-painted brown/yellow background featuring three depicted scenes: a farmer harvesting grain, a chicken with a nest of eggs, and a farmer milking a cow. The lid depicts a breakfast table with the text: 'fine Frisian table biscuit Fa v.d. MEULEN & Zn Hallum'.

Fa. van der Meulen & Zn Hallum has a rich history dating back to 1910 when Hessel van der Meulen founded a small artisanal biscuit bakery in Ferwerd. Growing demand led to the relocation to Hallum, where in 1930 "De Volharding" was built, a special bakery for biscuits. In 1930, the second generation began exporting biscuits to America, with the motto: "the more you eat the more you want!"
