About Ringers:
Ringers, a prominent manufacturer of luxury cocoa and chocolate products, thrived from 1905 to 1972 with establishments in Alkmaar and Rotterdam.

The Ringers chocolate and bonbon factory was founded in 1905 by Hendrik ('Henk') Ringers (April 27, 1880 - March 25, 1975), son of a contractor and brother of the later minister Johan Ringers, who later became a commissioner at the company.

Hendrik completed his training with pastry chefs in Amsterdam (1901) and at the renowned 'Cailler' chocolate factory in Vevey, Switzerland, as well as in Paris. Inspired by Swiss chocolate, he aspired to start his own factory in the Netherlands and match the quality. In 1905, he opened the 'Chocolate and Bonbon Factory' in Alkmaar, where he produced high-quality chocolate, starting from the cocoa bean.

Thanks to support and financial assistance from his family, the factory grew rapidly, and Ringers chocolate soon gained an excellent reputation. The modern facility not only produced chocolate and bonbons but also cocoa butter and cocoa powder.

Ringers was known for its quality and, like Verkade, released collectible albums that could be filled with pictures provided with the products. The company was synonymous with innovation and modernity in the European chocolate industry.
