This masterpiece is most likely from the renowned "LONDON" Champ, Clarck & Lugano Cigar Factories N.V. In a time when cigar making was a respected craft, skilled cigar makers were known as true artisans.
A piece of history adorns this tin, as it hails from the glory days of the cigar industry, with the Champ Clark & Lugano Sig.fabr. v/h R.H. Koning & Zn., located at Albatrosstraat 2-3 in Nieuwe Pekela from 1920 to approximately 1971. Unfortunately, the company disappeared in 1971 due to financial challenges, and a few years later, the once proud factory buildings were demolished.
