These beautiful vintage cookie tin and rusk tin are true gems from the '50s and '60s, paying tribute to the rich history of Bolletje B.V. The famous smiling baker, designed by the talented cartoonist Marten Toonder, proudly adorns both tins.

The vintage cookie tin captures the essence of that era with a vanilla-yellow background adorned with beautiful red checks and elegant red lines at the top and bottom. The red double-walled impression lid complements the design perfectly and displays the iconic baker. The inside of the tin exudes luxury with a gold-coloured finish. The bottom features the embossed text: "revente interdite."

The cream-yellow vintage rusk tin has a classic look with a diamond-shaped red triangle showcasing the smiling baker. The wavy beige decorative border and sleek red line add a touch of elegance to the design. The loose red overlapping lid with rolled edge offers both functionality and aesthetics. The history of Bolletje B.V. dates back to 1867 when Gerardus Johannes ter Beek opened a bakery shop in Almelo. This shop grew into the family business we now know as Bolletje. Rusks became a nationwide phenomenon, thanks in no small part to remarkable advertising campaigns.

The slogan "Ik wil Bolletje!" (I want Bolletje!) was voted the slogan of the century by advertisers in 2002. But even in the '50s, Bolletje's advertisements were eye-catching and, above all, humorous.
