Tupperware
In 1944, Earl Tupper founded the "Tupperware Plastics Company." Earl Tupper, an American chemist who had previously worked for DuPont, was a true pioneer in the use of polyethene for household applications. Two years later, he introduced the "Wonderbowl," a bowl renowned for its revolutionary airtight seal. This bowl was not only much lighter and sturdier than traditional glass and pottery but also a true marvel.
In the early years, Tupperware products were sold in department stores, hardware stores, and other retail outlets. However, this approach did not fully showcase the exceptional quality of Tupperware products. After all, no one took the time to demonstrate and explain the benefits of these airtight and watertight bowls to consumers.
In 1948, Vice President Brownie Wise introduced the Tupperware Home Party, a completely new way to bring products directly to consumers. This innovative approach allowed Tupperware to personally demonstrate and explain the many possibilities of its products.
