Description
A charming piece of kitchen nostalgia comes to life in this eye-catching storage tin for Wasa Knäckebröd. With a tin full of colour and character, this artwork from the years 1985-1999 effortlessly captures attention. The orange and blue tones create a cheerful combination that instantly brings a smile to your face.
The rectangular tin with scalloped corners and a high loose-fitting lid exudes craftsmanship. With a wide rim as an additional detail, the tin radiates sturdiness and durability. But it's the stunning decoration that truly makes an impression. The lid showcases a radiant blue sky adorned with a bright yellow sun, juicy kiwis, and a lush cluster of grapes. It's a true explosion of summer energy.
The sides of the tin are adorned with a beautiful collage of images. On one side, a juicy orange proudly displays itself, while on the other side, a tempting cup of coffee entices. But the real spectacle takes place at the front. An industrious bee, a ripening ear of corn, an elegant fork, a charming Dutch Delftware plate, and a majestic sunflower come together to create a captivating scene. On the back, you'll discover even more surprises: a newspaper waiting to be read, a proud rooster asserting its authority, a graceful swallow freely darting through the air, a musical scale promising melodic adventures, and a lush cornfield.

WASA: The World of Knäckebröd
Since 1919, Wasa has been at the forefront as the world's largest producer of Scandinavian knäckebröd. From Scandinavia to the United States of America, their delicious products are sold in as many as 40 different countries. In 1999, Wasa became part of the Barilla Group, which also includes brands such as Mulino Bianco, Harry's, and Pavesi.
With bakeries in Filipstad, Sweden, and Celle, Germany, knäckebröd and other delicacies are baked from these two locations for a global audience.
Wasa's main markets outside of Sweden are the other Scandinavian countries and Germany, followed by Poland, the Netherlands, France, and the United States of America.
The Wasa brand originally started with a specific product called Vasaknäcke, featuring an image of King Gustavus Vasa. The company utilized a royal crown and the heraldic symbol of the Vasa dynasty, the robe (vaas), in their marketing. The use of the letter "W" instead of "V" is an archaism in Swedish that is sometimes seen in marketing but does not affect pronunciation.
Wasabröd produces a wide range of crispbreads. In addition to the original ryebread, they also offer variants with sesame, wheat, and other grains. Like matzo, Wasa is known for its long shelf life.
The company takes pride in its status as a purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden.
