Description
This is a rectangular tin with rounded corners and a slightly convex hinged lid. The entire tin contains images in colour from Nicolaas Beets' Camera Obscura. The gilded evening is depicted on the lid, Pieter Stastok launches into the water and Keesje tells on the side walls.
On the lid, a company sitting and standing at a table. On the front and back a number of people, men and women, in a rowing boat, with a man going overboard. The accompanying text: "Pieter Stastok in the water".
On the sides, a man talking to a person sitting on a bench. The accompanying text: "Keesje tells". The lid edge is finished with a gold-coloured band. Text on the front edge: "The Gilded Evening". Text on the edge of the back: "Images from the Camera Obscura". Gold-coloured scroll motifs on the lid and corners. Rolled edge at the bottom of the tin.
Condition
This tin is in a vintage condition with traces of use and age-related traces of wear. The photos are part of the description.
