Description
Beautiful old tin from the Kambly Emmental biscuits & confectionery factory from Switzerland. This vintage tin is equipped with a hinged double-walled containment lid with two hinges. The lid is decorated with a wood veneer-like surface decorated with a colourful inner frame. The lid is double-walled and marked on the inside with "Biscuits- & confiseriefabrik Kambly, Emmental".

The tin box itself has a number of window decorations on the front and sides in which some stylized plants with flowers are depicted. The back has the same veneer-like background with a somewhat more subdued decoration. At the bottom of the tin a pattern in relief.

The bottom of the tin has a slightly raised edge.

Kambly SA is a Swiss company specializing in the production of luxury cookies and biscuits. Based in the village of Trubschachen in the Emmental region of Switzerland, the company was founded in 1906 by Oscar Kambly.
