Beautiful chocolate tin with brocante appearance!

Description
Rectangular tin with loose lid with rolled edge. The decoration of this tin consists of a dark brown background with gold-coloured details. The lid is made up of 16 dark brown chocolates in relief. The inside of the lid and bottom of the tin are gold-coloured. The inside of the box has a metallic color.

Driessen Chocolate was a chocolate maker based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The company was active in the early years of the 20th century and was one of the most important chocolate producers in the region.

The company was mainly focused on producing different types of chocolate and developing packaging to store and present this chocolate. One of their most popular packaging products was the embossed lid tins for their "Carro's" chocolates. This tin was printed with the Driessen logo and images of chocolate. The tin was functional and decorative and is now a nice collector's item.

Driessen Chocolate was a family business and was founded by Adrianus Driessen. The company remained in the hands of the Driessen family until the 1960s, when it was sold to the Kwatta company.

Although Driessen no longer exists, their rich history and craftsmanship in the chocolate industry is preserved thanks to the diverse and unique tin packaging they produced.

Driessen chocolate has left a lasting impression in the history of the Rotterdam chocolate industry and continues to fascinate collectors of vintage chocolate packaging.
