Description
Vintage square tin storage box with images of Fairytales, such as Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Holle Bolle Gijs and Tafeltje Dekje. The tin was released by supermarket chain Konmar and is equipped with a hinged lid. The decoration consists of a dark blue background with images from the fairy tales mentioned. On the lid an image of a fairytale castle.

Condition
This tin is in a good vintage condition with normal traces of use and age-related traces of wear. Photos are part of the description.

Konmar was a Dutch supermarket chain between 1968 and 2008. The chain was founded by Henk van der Straaten and Jacques Koster.

Bakker's son Henk van der Straaten started his career as a market vendor when he was 21. His first commodity was candy, which he sold from his cargo bike. He became active on the Herman Costerstraat market in The Hague, where he was the first to open a self-service stall. After ten years, Van der Straaten decided to exchange his market stall for a shop, and he started Supermarket Van der Straaten.

The new store was christened Konmar, an abbreviation of KonsumentenMarkt (Consumer Market).
