Description
Spirits Having Flown is the Bee Gees' fifteenth album. It was the
group's first album after their collaboration on the Saturday Night
Fever soundtrack. The album's first three tracks were released as
singles and all reached No. 1 in the US, giving the Bee Gees an
uninterrupted run of six US charts over a one-year span and a feat
shared by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. It was the
first Bee Gees album to make the UK top 40 in a decade (not
counting the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack), and it was also
their first and only UK #1 album. Spirits Having Flown also topped
the charts in Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden and
the US.

Condition
The cover has clear signs of use and wear. The vinyl is in good
condition. Small ticks and scratches are not excluded.
The Bee Gees were a pop group formed by twin brothers Robin Gibb (1949-2012, vocals) and Maurice Gibb (1949-2003, bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and their older brother Barry Gibb (1946, guitar and vocals).
The group's name was not initially intended to be an abbreviation of "Brothers Gibb". Originally the brothers played together as 'the Rattlesnakes', later that became 'Wee Johnny Hayes & the Bluecats' and under that name they were introduced to radio DJ Bill Gates. That was done by Bill Goode, after he saw them at work at the Brisbane Speedway Circuit. Bill Gates coined the name "Bee Gees" based on his and Goode's initials: BG. As the group began to achieve independent success in the late 1960s, the name became more associated with "Brothers Gibb".
