Description
Rectangular vintage tin with a hinged lid. Rolled edge on the bottom and top of the box and on the lid. The tin has a seamed longitudinal seam on one of the corners. The bottom has a raised edge.

The decoration of this tin consists of a richly decorated background of flowers (orange carnations) and green leaves. The decoration is in relief. On top of the lid, we see the princely couple, Juliana and Bernhard. This tin was issued on the occasion of their wedding day.

On January 7, 1937, Juliana married Bernhard in The Hague. The ecclesiastical confirmation was in the Grote of Sint-Jacobskerk. The couple settled in Soestdijk Palace.

Condition
This tin drum is in a vintage condition with traces of use and age-related traces of wear. Photos are part of the description.

The investiture took place on September 6, 1948. Juliana was married to Prince Bernhard van Lippe-Biesterfeld, with whom she had four daughters, and was the only child of the marriage of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands to Prince Hendrik of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
