Bay Keramik was founded in 1933 by Eduard Bay in Ransbach-Baumbach and was one of the most successful ceramics factories in West Germany. Their best-known designers were A. Seide and Bodo Mans. Today, Bay ceramics, which range in design from the very bizarre to extreme modernism, are very popular with interior designers and collectors. The factory, which could no longer continue its costly production process, ceased to exist in 1997.
