Description
High round red rusk tin for ARK equipped with a loose lid with rolled edge and decorated with flowers and butterflies.

This rusk tin is manufactured with a so-called seamed longitudinal seam in the box and bottom. Furthermore, the decoration consists of a red background with white flowers and gold-coloured butterflies and stars. Marked on the bottom with the ARK logo in relief.

Condition
This vintage rusk tin from ARK is in neat condition with minor signs of use and age-related traces of wear. Photos are part of the description.

ARK
In 1920 Ark's was an artisan bakery where rusks and gingerbread were made. ARK's family consisted of five sons and two daughters. Two of those sons, Gerrit Jan van Ark and Martinus Johan van Ark, decided to build a factory in 1931.
on Zwolle Road. Ark's Ruskfabriek still stands there today.

In the beginning, Ark's only made rusks and gingerbread. Biscuits/biscuits were also added in 1938. Ark's initially supplied the bakers and later also the grocers throughout the Netherlands. Ark's products were particularly popular in provinces such as Overijssel, Zeeland and South Holland. In 1975 the factory was taken over by Bolletje. Ark's products were a welcome addition to the Bolletje range!
