Slinger Koek
On January 21, 1921, Albert Aldenhuijssen and Jan van Oers set up a cake factory in Uden. This factory is given the name 'De Slinger Honing'. The first kneading machine was purchased in 1924. In 1925 the name was officially changed to "Koekfabriek de Slinger". Quality, including the golden yellow cake colour, was the hallmark of the "Slinger" cake.
It became a well-known delicacy throughout the Dutch province of Brabant.
