A decorative vintage tin of the brand LU (Lefévre-Utile) in a heart shape and provided with a beautiful nostalgic image. This tin comes from a series of four and was specially made for the famous Pim's cookie.

Lefèvre-Utile, better known as LU, is a French biscuit producer. The name LU is composed of the initial letters of the French names Lefèvre and Utile, the French couple who sold LU biscuits until 1887.

The company owns brand names of various origins; Like the pretzels and girls from Arnhem, the Liga brand is of Dutch origin, while the De Beukelaer and Parein brands are Belgian. LU also makes biscuits under the name Petit Beurre, TUC, Cracottes, Bastogne and Prince.

In the middle of the 19th century, the couple Lefèvre-Utile lived in France, who were known in Nantes for their waffles and biscuits. In 1883 his son Louis started a confectionery workshop and in 1887 a biscuit factory. He also started selling outside Nantes, so the fame of the LU grew.
