Description
Original vintage Tupperware storage box, cheese bell or holder for poultry. This box consists of a beige-brown tray with a mat-transparent dome. Great for storing leftover chicken or other meats.

This beautiful lightweight storage unit is a great addition to your vintage Tupperware collection! This holder has been specially designed by Tupperware for storing roast meat, chicken, turkey or ham, but can of course also be used for storing any other food. Its size makes it a handy container to have in your kitchen at home and is excellent for the fridge.

Condition
This holder for poultry, among other things, is in a good vintage condition with traces of use and age-related traces of wear. Small spot on one of the corners. See photos, these are part of the description.

In 1944 Earl Tupper founded the "Tupperware Plastics Company". This American chemist (from the DuPont company) was a pioneer in the use of polyethylene for household applications. Two years later, Mr Tupper launched his “Wonderbowl”, a "miraculous" bowl with a revolutionary airtight closure, which was much lighter and sturdier than traditional glass and pottery.

In the early years, the products were for sale in department stores, hardware stores and other shops. But in this way the exceptional quality of the Tupperware products did not come into its own. Nobody took the time to show and explain to consumers the benefits of these airtight and watertight bowls.

In 1948, Vice President Brownie Wise introduced the Tupperware Home Party, a whole new way of bringing products directly to consumers. In this way the many possibilities of the products could be demonstrated in person.
