Description
Cube-shaped tea tin in vintage condition and equipped with a separate double-walled insert lid with handle. The decoration of this tin consists of a light green background decorated with golden details. A romantic scene is depicted on all four sides.

Romanticism when it specifically refers to the historical period in question, was a movement in Western culture that was particularly strong in art at the end of the 18th and in the 19th century (visual arts, literature and music) and the intellectual life of Germany, France and the United Kingdom in particular, but also in Belgium and the Netherlands. It was above all a counter-reaction to the Enlightenment that had preceded it.
